Even though we are just a little over half way on our month, God has blessed us as squad leaders to visit 4 of our 6 teams. We have been traveling to different ministry locations and usually stay with the teams any where from 4-6 days where we get to encourage, sharpen, and fellowship with our squad in a more intimate setting. The teams and contacts always open up their homes and respect us in amazing ways which has been such a blessing.

One of the things I learned with my World Race experience is that God doesn’t take pleasure in obedience to His will alone but in obedience that comes from a joyful and humble heart. It took me awhile, but last year I started really searching my heart and I began to find more discontent in my joyless obedience and more fulfillment in having fun with what God wanted to do in my life. That is what inspired another  blog on fun .

Fun is something that I really want my squad to hold in high regard because I feel like having fun in the freedom and joy God has given us is a powerful tool when it comes to spiritual warfareIn fact, I believe that in many cases if people saw more Christians having fun, more people would want to be Christians!

I have seen so many unhappy, burnt out, mundane and apathetic Christians in my life that I fully believe the enemy is a “Funsucker” and many times his strategy is to convince us that fun and worship or ministry should be separated. I believe we can take things too serious and forget that we serve a God who loves to watch his children have fun. This is why he commanded his people to observe so many celebrations (Year of Jubilee, First Fruits) and why Jesus’ first miracle was to keep the party going at Cana!

Without further delay I would like to enlighten you with an example of the above text that took place while visiting Team Abide 15:5 at their church in San Vicente, El Salvador. I consider this video one of worship and ministry.
