We had a slowwww week this week. I like to be constantly moving and doing things but this week at ministry there were a few days where we simply sat and made charts for hours or got timed to see how fast we put the tents up.Then to top off my slow week I got sick and slept in bed all day friday. I was frustrated because I am not here to sleep and sit around, I am here to work! But the Lord really spoke to me through my lack of patience this week. He showed me how slowing down gave me more opportunity to get to know my teammates or play with the little girl in the yard. At training camp someone said something along the lines of, Jesus created us to work out of rest, not rest because of our work. If my mentality is to go go go then I will eventually burn out. This thing is not a sprint, it is a marathon! On thursday I was feeling super under the weather but I figured I could push through (even though my body clearly was not having it). On the bus I wanted to cry I felt so sick and knew immediately I should have listened and slept. I was praying for strength and just a way to get through feeling as I did and God seriously heard. We got to Pan De Vida and basically only half the girls had to work for the first few hours so I got to sleep in the attic for a couple hours. And I felt great after! So despite me not taking time to rest, God provided.

Sorry there are no photos this week! The wifi was not working and it was a struggle to upload this super short blog:) Hope you all have a great week!
