This is one of my favorite photos from the Race. This is my team, my sisters, my friends. They have seen me on my best days and my worst. I have made them cry and they have pushed me to the point of tears as well. But they have more often made me laugh the hardest, celebrated me, and picked me up on bad days. They  point me to Jesus. Community is hard, but they make it worth it.

This picture shows genuine laughter on the way home from ministry. As we race through the city in bumpy tuk-tuks, sand getting in my eyes and mouth, we crack up over silly things. And trust me, after long ministry days and times when nothing feels like it’s going right, laughter seriously is medicine for the soul.
