I’ve fallen in love with Nicaragua.

I’ve spent the past 3 weeks in this country mentoring my World Race squad and serving alongside them at the REAP Farm just outside Grenada. This place is so beautiful and full of God’s Presence.

This ministry has transformed this community from a once extremely violent and dangerous area with a lot of crime and gangs to one full of God’s Love and Peace in just the past 10 years.

On this farm, you will find soccer, softball, and basketball games with kids of all ages from the community on Sundays, Bible studies with young men from rival gangs seeing past their differences to dive into the Word together on Fridays, and meetings for the women in the community to get together and encourage one another on Wednesdays.

I’ve had the opportunity to feed and pray over the elderly at a local nursing home, visit the children’s wing and pray over the sick at the local hospital, go out into the community and meet some of the locals, get to sit and pray with them, encourage them and meet some of their physical needs including providing enough Ensure for a woman named Lucia to regain some muscle strength to start therapy after being confined to a wheelchair after falling from a hammock 4 years ago.

Just this past Saturday we held a Couple’s Valentine’s Dinner to bless and encourage the married couples in the community. On Sunday, we hosted a United Church service in this pavilion (pictured here in the background). There were pastors from at least 6 churches and people from all over the community united in praise and worship for the Lord. It was great to see so many familiar faces from the community that I now call friends.

As we prepare to leave on Friday for Costa Rica, will you join me in prayer for this community and for the staff here at REAP Grenada to be encouraged and filled up to continue the work God has called them to in this place?

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” – Ephesians 6:18

Financial Update: I’m now only $100/month away from being fully funded. I’m looking for a few more individuals to partner with me at $25, $50, or even $100 a month! Will you prayerfully consider joining my team?

Through your financial support, I will be able to continue mentoring my 2019 World Race squad (5th Generation Q Squad) and supporting them emotionally and spiritually both from my home in GA and when I have the opportunity to visit and serve alongside them 3 more times this year on the field.

Thank you all for continuing to follow my journey with the Lord. It is a true honor and blessing.
