We have kicked off our first week in Ukraine. We are working at a kids camp for many orphans, kids with broken homes the government places in the program, and some kids here just to do a sports camp. I have been placed with the older girls. At first I was like this not what I saw myself doing and almost didn’t want to but God is good. These girls are amazing. They have some pretty sad stories but their smiles blow me away. They call me Lindsay (ie Lindsay Lohan) I can’t wait to get to know them more.
Now we are working with a team from CA that are Russian and English speaking. They do all the programs for the kids. We help with games. Now it is very difficult communicating with the kids but next we will be helping another English speaking team with translators.

The camp is located accross the river from Russia. I went swimming a few days ago and got about half way out and contemplated crossing but decided that was not in my best interest. I’m sure a Russian prison is not the best place to be.
I don’t have internet where I am ( now we have driven in about an 1 hr to town) so updates will be few and far between but all is well. Keep me in your prayers as I truly believe I am strengthened by them when God knows I need it. Pray for these girls hearts as they are typical teenagers but these girls don’t have people pouring love into them so they seek it in other places.
