Whew.
What a week.
Seriously, this past week feels like it lasted an eternity. In both exhausting and LIFE GIVING ways. I have been stretched emotionally thin this week. I have had difficult conversations. I have felt heavy with the weight of goodbyes. I have not been able to be still and rest which I know my body and mind NEED.
Although…God has taught me about confrontation consistently over the past year and a half. He’s taught me that difficult conversations (when approached in love and respect) are ALWAYS worth having (I, one hundred percent, would not have said this 2+ years ago, instead I would have done anything to avoid it). When the Father places something on our hearts we have a choice to be obedient or to be disobedient in following through with what He’s asking of us. When obedience is scary and you’re dreading it, do it. You’re never going to regret acting in obedience AND I’ve found that the Lord is always SO present in the midst of the hard stuff, especially hard stuff He’s called us to. He grants peace and lifts weights for acting in obedience. And wow, it feels good to have that affirmation.
ALSO
I have been shown GENEROSITY this week. The kind of generosity that leaves you speechless. I have been encouraged and prayed for so carefully and diligently. Guys, I have the best prayer warriors: they love and serve me well & I learn so so much from them. I have been overwhelmed by God’s love and provision and sovereignty in the most beautiful ways. It’s so beautiful, to me, that we have a Savior that is so incredibly personal to each of us. He is working in our lives separately but uses what He’s doing in our lives separately to uplift our Kingdom community. Wowzers.
Good news is we made it through last week and new week has begun. Here’s to a more restful & joyful week!
