Supporters,

I made it through the jungle!  And I am a better person for it, I’ll tell you that
much.  By now, you know all about
my living situation, what the ministry was this month and what I enjoyed in my
free time, but this blog is written for my financial supporters so you can
share in our joy.  Because of the
money donated to me this month, we were able to bless an incredible Pastor with
a large financial gift!

Pastor Vrak lived in Siem Reap, with a well paying job in
marketing and enough money to live very comfortably in this country.  However, God called him to Christianity
and away from his comfortable lifestyle, back to the village he was raised in
for a bigger vision.  He married
his wife, built his home and prayed obediently to the Father for the next
step.  He prayed and fasted for his
family to know Christ.  He prayed
and fasted for the health of his family.
He prayed and fasted for financial assistance, and after several years
God answered all his prayers and blessed him with the opportunity to build a
church.

The past 10 years Pastor has been very busy networking and
building relationships with this village.
He gave up family land a few kilometers away and built a community for
believers who have no money and no education.  My team had the privilege of visiting them and praying for
them.  He also leads 2 small groups
both 25 kilometers away in the opposite direction.  He visits them weekly and builds them up in prayer and
offers financial support.  All of
this is on top of the Center for English he runs Monday through Friday.  The kids who come to English 3 classes
a day only pay $1 a month.  And if
they can’t pay, Pastor still teaches them.  He keeps two teachers on staff who make $100 dollars a
month.  Don’t forget – he still has
the church on Sundays.  One of his
prayers is for God to send another Pastor or full time missionary to preach the
sermons on Sunday.

This man and his loving family fed us, drove us places,
prayed for us, planned parties and made a tough situation not so tough this
month!  He had one-on-one talks
with us for encouragement and has never asked for a single penny from us.  We pay him, of course, for food and for
drinking water, but he has never once asked.  It is our honor, privilege and divine blessing to be able to
give him a substantial ministry gift at the end of this month.  I love him and his wife and their
chubby baby.  His mother and
stepfather made sure there were always 2 hot meals a day and bread for
breakfast.  His brothers and sister
made us feel like we were all in the family.

Thank you to everyone back at home for your financial
contributions.  They blessed an
obedient, low-income family in a huge way this month.  I love being on the World Race!  I couldn’t be on it without generosity back home.

These village kids sang us a bunch of songs upon our arrival.  Pastor Vrak leads a bible study for the adults in this village.

Another village we visited – Pastor Vrak gave up family land to build this community.  The people here are very poor and have no money for education.  Pastor said he has offered to teach for free, but the kids have no desire to learn.

Some village folk listening to Pastor.

This picture is from a third village we visited.  Pastor supports these kids and plays games with them.  They are also very low income.

Side note -” my teammate Kim is still struggling to make her
financial World Race goals.  While
I have been taken care of in a huge way, she is close to having to
be sent home because of insufficient funds.  Please pray and consider if supporting her is something your
household can afford.  You can make
contributions directly at www.kimbrown.theworldrace.org.

Thanks y’all!
Onto Vietnam for a few days then Australia for another month of ministry 🙂
