After nearly 50 hours of nonstop travel, I have arrived at my temporary home in Phuket, Thailand.  SHE ministries, who rescues girls from the red light district in Thailand, has put all 45 of us in residence here.

The view outside my room on the third floor.  It’s steamy and tropical here!

My team leaves in two days for northeastern Thailand (a 24 hour bus ride..ughh) where we will most likely be partnering up with Youth With A Mission and working with their church.  It’s also rumored my team will be sleeping in tents all this month as well!

Over the next few days we’ll be debriefed on what our individual teams will be accomplishing this month, as well as where we’ll be going – so until then I’ll blog next when I know something!  Here’s a nice picture of Natasha Ritsema and I riding in the back of what turned out to be a 3 hour truck ride from the Bangkok airport to the bus station.  The smog and fumes were stifling – – – – –
