It is hard to believe that I have less than 3 months before I leave! It is starting to sink in that I will be leaving for a year and what that means. I will be ending my life as I know it – moving my stuff to my parents, quiting my job, selling my car, saying goodbye to all my friends and family and will be starting a new chapter in my life. I still have about 3 months before I leave but my journey has already begun. I am excited to see where that will lead!
Although I am excited, I know that there will also be tough times. God has already started preparing me for what is to come. Please pray for me even in this time of preparation. Pray that God will prepare me physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. Pray for wisdom as I have some decisions to make regarding when to quit work and other things. At the end of May, I will be traveling to Gainesville, GA for training camp. This is where I will meet all of my teammates. We will be doing team-building activities and practical ministry exercises. Pray for travel safety to and from camp for all of us and that my team will bond. Pray that God will not only prepare me for what is to come, but that he will also begin preparing the hearts of those my team will come into contact with in each country.
Your prayers are very important to me! I had a prayer card made that I sent out to many of you.
