Man, I’m glad Jesus has such profound divine appointments
for my life.  There are many times
in the past few years that I’ve wanted to be baptized for the sake of publicly
professing my faith and following a very important rite of passage for every
Christian.  I was baptized as a
baby to the Catholic Church, but as an adult I really felt like it was
important for me to actually declare to my community and to God that this body
is not mine and should be used for God’s purposes.  I’ve been working on my own inner demons and junk sin for
long enough…it was time I let it sink to the bottom of a pool and stay there.

There were a few times I could have been baptized in the
states, but it never felt ‘right’ enough.
So when our Australian contact Roger asked out of nowhere if I (or
anyone else on my team) wanted to get baptized in the spirit on Friday night ”
I was like, yeah of course!  I knew
it was the perfect time.  I respect
Roger and his incredible understanding of the Holy Spirit, so he and the
worship pastor of their church, Rosalyn, dunked me!  With me in the tank were my teammates Rachel, Courtney, Katy
and Kim, plus standing outside and cheering me on were all of Rosalyn’s family
and a few family friends.  It was
so much fun.  I professed that I
was tired of trying to ‘fix’ myself of anger and depression and the rest of the
junk people try to work out on their own…and I said that as soon as I was in
the water, my heart was washed clean.
I really, really believe it was.
After I was baptized we all stayed in and around the pool and prayed
over me and the Spirit moved!  We
all at one moment were swaying and floating so gently…it was beautiful.  Some prophetic words were spoken over
me and I am ready to live them out!

Before…

After!

Praying 🙂

Never the same 🙂

Folks at home ” please pray that my team and I get knocked
on our faces this month by miracles, signs and wonders.  This has been a unanimous team prayer
for the past month and we are so hungry for God to manifest in a huge way.  Pray that we step so far outside our
comfort zones that God HAS to show up.
Pray that we raise someone back to life tomorrow…or that a cripple
stretches their hand out.  Pray big
things for us!  We are hungry and
ready for it!!

p.s. …I don’t know about all y’all’s baptism stories but
mine was the greatest possible one I could have.  Thanks Jesus!
