We arrived safely to the Domincan this morning. Almost had problem getting tickets to board because they were one way and they felt it was suspicious that 14 Americans were traveling to the DR with no return ticket. Once we explained what we were doing we did not have a problem. The drive along the coastline is beautiful. It is very hot and humid. I am very tired as I only dozed off a few minutes on the plane. We met up with our teamleaders and were given the task to buy lunch today and 2 meals tomorrow within a certain budget. Then we had to search out a place to blog. Don´t have much time to write but wanted to let you know that we got here safely.
Please pray for the rest of our teammates- squadmates as they are to meet tomorrow morning to fly out of Ft. Lauderdale and the airport is currently closed due to weather. Pray that everyone is able to make their flight to meet up and that they are able to make the flight to the DR. Pray for our time here in the DR and the people we will come into contact with. My squadmates are currently talking to the guys who are running the internet cafe!
