Hello Everyone! It is a beautiful day today in Texas! I just wanted to let you all know how amazing our God really is. This past weekend I had a garage sale to raise money for the trip and I raised $382!…my goal was $300. I always think its so funny and awesome that God always goes way beyond my silly human goals. I have a really great story to share so here goes…while I was working at the garage sale on Saturday (around 10:30 am) the next door neighbor came over (we had the garage sale at my friends house) who was also having a garage sale next door. She said that her family was about to go out of town for the day but she heard about my mission trip so she offered to let me come over, work her garage sale, and keep the money for my mission trip! Awesome, huh? I made $70 dollars at her house in about four hours. God is so great!
While I am working this garage sale I ran into two people from the church that I grew up in who just showered encouragement on me. Also, as I am talking to this older lady about the World Race, she asks me if I know Alison Franklin and I was just like ahhhh…that’s me! Turns out that she is friends with my Grandma and has been praying for me since before I went to Peru this past summer. I was just getting blasted with encouragement from everywhere. God knows our hearts, he knows when we are down and he is the only one who can give us that quenching hope that we all need. I just wanted to share my story so that it would hopefully encourage you all…pass on the encouragement!
