We’ve all seen the movie Happy Gilmore…or I hope we have. Hurry up and watch it before you leave in January! Yesterday I did a golf tournament to raise money for the world race and all I asked God for was a glimpse of Bob Barker
but no such luck so I guess a thousand bucks will do. Did you hear that!?!…or actually read that. A thousand smackarooooz! Whoa! God is so great! I only had four teams play but everyone was so generous, not to mention I had so many wonderful friends helping me run the tournament and of course my wonderful, wonderful Sister and Mother came out and helped me so ridiculously much! And on top of everything, it was a beautiful day in the great state of Texas during the tournament. I’m not going to lie and say that I was totally responsible the whole time at the tournament because I wasn’t. Heather and I may have raced around on a golf cart. Shhh! We actually drove around to the holes and sold my threads of hope bracelets at them. Who would have known that drunk, older dudes are really generous?

Basically what I’m saying is that yesterday was a huge success! This past week was a really hard week for me and God knew that and he also knew just how to encourage me and put a smile on my face. He’s pretty great, huh?
