Hi guys! These past couple weeks have been flying by to me and I can’t believe I’ve only been back home for about 2 weeks now. It seems like a substantial amount of time has passed with all that’s happened lately. I want to update you on what’s coming next so everyone is on the same page, and to hopefully clear up any confusion that people have about what my next steps are as far as continuing my work as an international missionary.
First off, I want to give praise to God who is a provider because as of yesterday my fundraising for the two months I was on the field was completed. YAY! This covered all my living expenses for my 2 months with D-Squad. I’ve had a lot of questions of “did you do the race again?” Or “what were you doing this time?” I will hopefully answer many of these questions in all the catching up below.
As many of you know, I did the world race in 2017 with R-Squad, and returned home in November of last year. I then returned to the field in January 2018 to Alumni Team Lead for D-Squad during the first two months of their race. Alumni Team Leading is an opportunity for race alum to return to the field, and transition a new group of racers smoothly. We create culture within our teams, and take care of logistical tasks so the new racers can really focus on the huge transition they are going through. It’s designed to create an atmosphere of our ceiling, being their floor. It’s an amazing opportunity to partner with the Holy Spirit as he leads his warriors into battle as we all take strides to continue building the Kingdom. I recently returned from leading on March 15 back to Colorado.
My time of consistently living with my team( The Magic school bus) and the rest of the squad has come to an end, but as an Alumni Team Leader I have the opportunity to visit them periodically throughout the year when they travel to debriefs.
Debriefs are a time where the squad comes together to engage in intentional rest with the Father and with one another before they head into a new month of ministry. They do not have debriefs after every month, but every few months or so. In order for me to join them at a debriefs I need to fundraise support. I believe with all my heart that the Lord placed me with D-Squad for a reason and I’ve been filled with so much joy as I’ve watched the glory of the Lord unfold through them. I’ve had the opportunity to continue to be apart of what changed my life for the better and give back to the body of Christ what was given to me. I’ve seen God continue to use his servants to reveal that heaven is here among us as Jesus lives through us, and I know he’s no where near done doing miraculous things.
In all the Lords goodness, He’s already blessed with my the opportunity to join D-Squad on April 9th-14th for their debrief in Jamaica. I could not be more excited to see them and encourage them as they continue their journey on the field. The next debrief I’m praying to join them at is in Nepal from June 5th-10th. I need to raise $1,500 by the time I leave on the 5th of June to join them in Nepal.
Paul says in Hebrews 10:24-25,
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
I have the privilege to continue joining them as we all live out our pursuit to grow in the love of the Father and be an example to the world of the overflow that comes from the Holy Spirit. Please continue to partner with me in prayer for D-Squad as their race continues, and to be in prayer for me as my hearts desire is to continue to point them to Christ. If you would like to donate to me for Nepal debrief, please do so in the bar above. I love you all so much and thank you!
