It’s been a while since I blogged but I wanted to give you all a brief update about the past couple weeks before I launch with D-Squad to Haiti.

After Christmas with my family in Florida, I flew to Georgia to attend Project Searchlight. It’s a time when all the squads from January 2017 launch can reunite, and get refocused on the Lord. Adventures in missions invites multiple speakers to remind us what it is to be examples of the Kingdom and that God is still at work in America. I’m so thankful to have journeyed with an organization that cares about the body and puts together a conference to help us through re-entry. It gave me a chance to be reminded of who I am in Christ, what my role can be in his plan, and how love is at the center of it all. My best friend also had the wonderful blessing of marrying her best friend. It was an honor to stand behind her as a maid of honor and be a witness to their union with the Lord.

Now at launch with my Alumni squad mates, and new squad mates, I’ve been reminded of how exciting it was to be at the beginning of this amazing journey. Launch has been loaded with teachings and concepts that reflect the heart of Adventures in Missions. Their goal is to be an example of the Kingdom in every place, and make disciples of all nations while spreading the love of Christ. The simple gospel is the heartbeat of it all and I’m thankful to get to be apart of it again.

We leave our to Haiti tomorrow morning and begin our journey as a squad and I’m so proud of them all for saying yes to the Lord. Please continue to pray for us as we grow closer and deeper with the Father.

Love,
Alisha
