Training Camp is almost here! The reality of what I am about to embark on is starting to hit me and I’m getting REALLY excited! I used to anxiously await boxes of gratis from Dior with the excitement that now accompanies a shipment of backpacking gear…. kinda funny how things have changed! I’m loving my new “normal” and can’t wait to see what daily life on the field looks like!
Saturday (May 21st) I will be driving to Copperhill, TN to spend 10 days preparing for the race. The entire July Squad will work together to gear up spiritually, mentally and physically, allowing God to equip us for what lies ahead. Learning how to live simply and in close community we will form our teams. This is a group of 6 or 7 people we will actually travel with for the next 11 months, becoming a family unit! I am going to treasure this time when we can quiet ourselves before God as a team, allowing Him to move, speak and guide us!
My World Race journey has already begun. We are already impacting the corners of the world that God is going to take us to through prayer and preparation, so as I dive in please join me in praying for this time! Please ask that the team would be still before God and that He would speak clearly to us. Pray that we would glorify Him in all of our planning and preparation and that we would follow closely as He leads. Pray that God would burden our hearts for the mission and that the people we reach would be changed by the gospel! Pray that He would form the teams perfectly according to His wisdom and that this would be a refreshing and meaningful time forming relationships. Pray against any discouragement or confusion that the enemy would cause and for protection. As the trip approaches I’m praying for each person on the route who has the craziest list of things to do and expenses to cover. Pray for provision and that each racer’s physical and financial needs would be met! I can’t express how thankful I am for each of you who has chosen to support me financially, prayerfully and through encouragement. I am SO BLESSED!
I am excited to be able to share all the “God Stories” from training and update you on all of the new details when I arrive home!
