Hello. I'm Alisha, 24 year old ministry assistant to a creative team at West Ridge Church and Make Up Artist for Christian Dior. I know, opposite ends of the spectrum – but it's kept life exciting up until now. I will be leaving all of that behind in July 2011 by become a full time missionary to 11 different countries!
That sort of charts my story all over the map but I'm not suggesting those are the things that define me. They are a start to what my life has looked like over the past few years and a preface for wha'ts ahead over the next one. I'm hoping to be able to define "Me" more eloquently and accurately here over the next year by what God is choosing to do in me. The latter may be the more realistic portion of that goal which I'm okay with.
I'll give you a run down of the basics but I'd rather us get to know each other as time goes by!
I have amazing parents who love the Lord and couldn't be more supportive. I'm the oldest of five children, here's the list: Myself, Philip (22), Danielle (18), Jacob (16) and Nathaniel (6). In October, while I'm on the race, Katie (Phil's fiance) will officially become my sister and even out the girl/boy ratio. I have a huge italian family from Long Island, NY which I'm sure suggest all kinds of stereotypes… they're probably ALL correct! I currently call Dallas, GA (NW Atlanta) home.
I'm passionate about the injustices of this world and figuring out how to live the story that God has planned! I'm learning that living with His Kingdom at the center is how my passions and dreams will be fulfilled and I can't wait to share the journey with you!
