This blog is going to be a little different than most…

And maybe even a little bit longer…

But it will be worth it…I promise.

                                                                   -Majority are women and girls.

Common Patterns for Luring Victims:

· Being sold into the sex trade by parents, husband, boyfriends

·  Being kidnapped by traffickers

Last month, my team and the girls of S.W.A.T. worked in the red light district, ministering to the men and women on Bangla Road in Penang. We worked alongside SHE ministries which helps women in the bars find better jobs. My heart BROKE for these women and even the men who bought them. Here are a few more facts on Sex Trafficking in Thailand:

·  60% of men who arrive in Thailand go for sex tourism

·   80% of Thai men go to a prostitute on a regular basis

·  Pattaya is known as the “Child Sex Capital of the World” also making it the world’s “Pedophile Capital of the World.”

·  86% of male prostitutes in Thailand are heterosexual men being forced to be prostitutes by their families to make money (ladyboys)

My upcoming blogs will be about my time on Bangla Road…please partner with me and pray for the men and women involved in sex trafficking.

Now, here is to put things in perspective…

United States Domestic Human Trafficking:

·   Low estimates assume 15,000 people are trafficked into the U.S. each year (this DOES NOT include those that are trafficked within the U.S.)

·   Many U.S. victims that are trafficked are homeless and teenage runaways

·   Many victims in the U.S. do not speak English and are unable to communicate with service providers, police, or others who might be able to help them
