Why I am NOW just posting this here blog? :hahahaha funny thing…

So this month kind of FLEW by! I mean one minute I am sitting with my squad parents/leaders and my team at debrief and the next minute I am here…sitting in a corner of our “hotel” room typing frantically in order to let ALL of you in on all the happenings of our time in Dumaguete!

                                               JUST SAYING!

I have fallen IN LOVE with the Philippines; especially the people of Dumaguete. Dumaguete is known as the “City of Gentle People;” and can I say…the name says it all! Let’s put it this way, I can actually run by myself every morning and NO ONE will bother me! I cannot even do that in the little suburban neighborhood my family resides in!

The first night, I also got to experience the lovely taste of Balut. Okay, so let me give you the EXACT definition of this Filipino delicacy…

Balut: A fertilized duck (or chicken) egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell.

Call me crazy, but I can honestly say that is was not the worst thing I have ever eaten; it truly was mind over matter! It was a great introduction (or maybe even an initiation) to the Filipino culture.

This month my team has been combined with Ginosko which was REALLY exciting for me due to the fact that I hung out with more than half the team back at training camp! It is fun to see what God has been doing in each of their lives; they are a POWER team for sure!

Well I am SORRY for the lack of blogs this month; I do apologize. I seem to always be TARDY

…that reminds me…

…I have to get going!

                                        …See you SOON!
