Alrighty, so it was not that long ago when I announced my new team to the world-team UMOJA.
Well, team Umoja is still going strong; however, it now looks a little different…yes, yet again.
During our first week of Uganda, there was a massive change within the squad. Every single team changed in at least one way. Umoja found out that we had lost Caley Sue Peterson, which was REALLY hard for each one of us. Caley brought so much to the team and has a special place in my heart. I had grown a close bond with this mighty woman of God over the first two months of Africa- so needless to say, I felt as though I had lost a sister. Caley ended up going to team S.W.A.T which is basically our sister team (we are ALWAYS paired up with them). Team Umoja still consisted of Sarah (team leader), Annie Rose, Auston, Kate, and yours truly. We did find out that two new members would be added-John Smith and Caitlin Parker. I can honestly say that even though it was hard losing Caley, I LOVE John and Caitlin and I KNEW this change was from God.
Throughout this Race the Lord has prepared me for change and this was not any different. I am excited to see how God moves in the new Umoja for the remaining months…we shall see.
