It was the first time I felt anger and the first time fear came over me since being in Thailand. My eyes were finally opened to the world around me-the world of Bangla Road.

Friday nights are ALWAYS busy on Bangla Road, but for some reason, it was busier than normal. I felt as though I was in the middle of a maze-getting from one side to the other. However, I did manage to get to the end of the road where my new-found friends were selling things on the street. As I spoke with my friend Boo, a few men who worked on Bangla Road, came up and started a conversation with Krissy, Catherine, and me. The men said they had seen us around and that they knew a little about why we were there. We ended up talking to them for almost two hours about our savior Jesus Christ. We talked about creation, salvation and how the Lord has worked in our lives. All of the men said that they knew who Jesus was and that they were interested in learning more about him. They even asked if we could get them bibles in the Burmese language; we are working on this one by the way. Then one of the men looked at us and said we were prophets and that we were different; that we had something other women did not have and this was due to Christ dwelling in us. I was beyond humbled and could only respond with giving glory to our King.

Krissy, Catherine, and I decided to head over to Soi Eric to visit a few of the women we had made a connection with. As we approached Soi Eric, it was brought to ALL of our attention that there was a man and a woman arguing outside of the bar. As we all looked closely, though, we noticed that there was a lot more to it. The white-western man was yelling at a little Thai-looking woman and started to forcefully grab her. The man started to shake her and then started to rummage through her purse. So, I have seen a lot of angry people in my day, but I had NEVER seen that before. The entire time we saw this being played out, Krissy, Catherine, and I were interceding on behalf of this girl. A few moments later, the man walked away and before we knew it, girls from M Squad walked up to the woman to see if she was okay. The man did end up coming back and left with the woman-all we could do in that moment was to pray.
