And so it begins! I am so excited and blessed for the next big adventure that I will be able to share with my brothers and sisters in Christ! I know that Lord will do amazing things while I am away and express the importance of servanthood. The Lord has done incredible things in my life that has brought me up to this point. I was born and raised in Southern California along with my younger brother and sister. I have an older half sister who now has a family of her own. As a young child, I was completely devoted to the learnings of Christ. However, As I grew older I moved farther away from my faith and into a major depression. For about six years I took it upon myself to run my own life which only brought on pain and suffering. My parents separated my junior year of high school which I actuallly saw as a light at the end of the tunnel. During my senior year of high school, my family was invited to attend Family Fellowship-a small but prosperous church in Beaumont, California. We ended up going to that church (and stilll are) every sunday after that. I fought every step of the way, however, and did not open myself up to anyone. It was not until my pastor’s daughters took the time to share the love of Christ and through their amazing faith I saw what life could be like if I gave my life to Jesus! And so I took the initial step and became born again! That was a little over three years ago now and through the grace of God, I have become the woman I have always dreamed of becoming. I now get to experience life in a whole new way by going on a mission trip of a lifetime! I know that I will change a lot this upcoming year and will be able to see first-hand what the hands of God can do for others. After the mission trip I would like to finish college and become a youth pastor. I LOVE working with teenagers and showing them how much better life can be if they put Jesus first. I dream that one day I can start my own organization that helps young adults develop a relationship with Christ as well! I am so excited about what Jesus is doing in my life and I cannot wait to share it with the world!
