REDEEMED. God is in the business of taking broken things, redeeming them, and using them for His glory. I am one of those things. I was once broken and lost, far from the path that God had for me.                                     BUT, my story did not end there.

God picked up my pieces, reminded me that I was bought with a great price, and began to mold me into who I am today. I have been freed from the bondage of sin and delivered into the freedom that is found in Christ alone. How incredible is that?

And now I get to share that news, the news of God’s redeeming grace, around the world. For as long as I can remember, I have felt the desire to go overseas. And now, I have finally heard it: God’s gentle and loving voice telling me, ‘Go’.

As I heard this simple word and recognized my sweet Father’s voice, I was instantly filled with excitement. And then nerves. And then fear. And then doubt. Lies swam through my head,

“I am unworthy”

“I am not prepared”

“There are others who are FAR more qualified”

The list goes on and on.

But then God caught hold of my wandering mind, and He reminded me of this simple truth: He qualifies the called. I may not be the most eloquent speaker or the most outgoing person, but He is growing me in these areas, and I trust that He is sufficient. Sufficient to give me the words to speak of His goodness to all whom I encounter, the strength to serve those in the communities to which I travel, and the funds to go.

Soo…I’ve said YES to God’s calling, and I will be leaving to go on the World Race in August of 2018.

Excuse me for a momentAHHHHHH! God is SO good. He is taking this once broken girl and graciously using her to further His kingdom. I am in awe, y’all.

The World Race is an 11 month long mission trip, and in these 11 months, my team will travel to 11 countries (!!) sharing the love of Christ with those whom God places in our path and serving the communities in a variety of ways. The route is subject to change, but as of now, my team will be traveling to

  • Panama

  • Costa Rica

  • Nicaragua

  • El Salvador

  • Malawi

  • Zambia

  • Zimbabwe

  • Cambodia

  • Thailand

  • Indonesia

  • Malaysia

We will be serving in various capacities in each country, and I am beyond excited to be pushed and stretched in ways that I’ve never been before. I believe full-heartedly that God is going to move in BIG ways on this trip.

…now, where do you come in?

There are several ways in which you can be an active participant in my journey.

First of all, I am in desperate need of prayer. If you want to partner with me in prayer, here are a few specific things to lift up:

  • Peace as I prepare to leave family and friends

  • Safety as my team travels to each of the 11 countries

  • Unity for my team as we band together to serve the Lord

  • Spiritual discipline as the enemy works to distract from this calling

  • Provision as I strive to raise the necessary funds for the trip

Next, you can follow along this journey by clicking the little [ Subscribe for Updates ] button up at the top ↑ . I would LOVE to share what God is doing in and through my life over the next few years, and this is the easiest way to keep you guys updated. Also, feel free to share this blog and spread the word!

Finally, you can partner with me financially*. Whether it is a one-time donation, or a monthly contribution, every dollar helps. It is a large sum of money to raise, but God is a big and capable God, and I fully believe that it is possible.

If you feel called to assist in this way, click on the [ Donate! ] button found at the top of the page. From here, you will fill out my name, Ali Curtis, and the amount that you would like to contribute.

If you’d prefer to send a check, message me, and I will provide details on how to do so.

Thank you so much, guys!
