Days are so simple here and I’ve found so much joy in the simplicity of life.
So, enjoy a snapshot of what everyday life is like here in Africa 🙂
6:20 a.m.!
wake up and work out with Mae, Lan, Nat and Sadie!
7:20 a.m.!
take a freezing cold shower! (one of my favorite times of the day)!
8:00 a.m.!
breakfast! usually bread with a side of bread! it’s a great time:)
8:40-10:00 a.m.!
spend time with the Father! reading His word! praying! worshipping! it’s such a sweet time between the Lord and I:))
10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.!
morning ministry with my team starts! we have been varnishing or cutting grass the past few weeks! it’s the perfect time to have dance parties and just talk about life with your best friends!
12:00 p.m.!
lunch! sometimes it’s rice! maybe spaghetti! breaded balls every so often! but, our favorite is french fries!!!!!!
12:30 p.m.-1:00 p.m.!
team time! monday is bible project! tuesday is worship! wednesday is storytelling! thursday is debrief! friday is feedback! a time to check in on each other! perfect space to talk, laugh and hang out with my team!
1:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m.!
afternoon ministry starts! i’m in kids track and it is so fun! nat and I teach on thursdays! we get to hang out and love on the kiddos! from teaching US holidays to helping kids with homework to having dance parties with the kids— it is such a good time!
5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.!
it depends on the day! sometimes i hang out in house #1 with paige! sometimes luhule and I dance together! sometimes I play volleyball with my squad! sometimes I take a nap!
6:00 p.m.!
dinner! we have soup or spicy potatoes pretty regularly!
7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.!
depends on how i’m feeling or what my team is doing! my team and I have movie nights about three days a week! i talk and hang out with the squad! a time to hang out and chill!
9:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.
watch movies! edit pictures! hang out with my team and team Ekklesia! get ready for bed!
11:00 p.m.!
fall asleep watching a movie or listening to music!
