First off, I just want to say thank you to anyone and everyone who has supported me to launch and continue on the World Race.
When I was first looking at the race, funding was definitely one of the biggest and scariest giants in deciding to take on this next chapter of my life. In fact, it was the fundraising that scared me out of doing it last year when I was initially invited by my best friend to do it with her.
$18,600?! Not many people have that just lying around ready to frivolously spend it on whatever their heart desires. On top of that, for me to ask those kinds of funds so that I may travel for a year spreading the kingdom message probably wasn’t at the top of other people’s list of how to spend their money.
Because of you, I have been able to teach English classes in Chile, pray for people in marketplaces and on the streets of Peru, love on people as they begin to close their ministry in Ecuador and take the next big step into another chapter of their lives, provide water and bread for the lost souls of Medellin and teach kindergarteners in Rwanda, just to name a few.
Thank you to the community who has supported me financially on this journey. Every little bit has helped in a tremendous way, enough to raise $15,261! Life is not meant to be done alone. It is only with the help of our bothers and sisters that we can complete Gods will and what he has planned for us.
Remember this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. – 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
There is only 14 days left to raise $3,336! It is a possible feat and in two weeks time (Nov 30th), this personal Goliath will be defeated.
