Discomfort. Unity. Knowledge. Relationships. Experience. Diversity. Unease. Growth. Community. Maturity. Intention. Discovery.
These words are just a small glimpse of some of the things I have experienced here at Training Camp. Almost everything that was taught was brand new to me, and I don’t know that I will ever be able to say that I understand it all. I do, though, know one thing for sure. The racers and staff here this week have displayed a genuine unconditional love that only comes from those who have Christ at the center of their hearts. Everyone accepts others without hesitation because, when they look into a person’s eyes, all they see is Christ. It is simply beautiful to go from strangers to teammates to brothers and sisters in a matter of days. I am going to intentionally live my life as a praise to God, and I am honored to have 73 new friends there to cover my weaknesses. If there is one lesson I have learned this week, it is this: Remember the journey.
