We arrived in Cornesti, Moldova by
overnight train. There are two teams here this month. Our ministry
contact’s name is Vitally. His vision for Cornesti, named Sinai 30,
is to plant 30 churches in 30 years. Vitally is hoping to reach into
the community through a few different programs. We will be helping
with a kid’s program, cleaning up and renovating houses, and doing
house visits. The houses we renovate will eventually be homes for
single mothers who cannot afford houses on their own. We also have
the opportunity to spend time with and pray for about 15 teenagers
who live in a shelter. Through growing fruits and vegetables and
raising Marmots (animals that look just like beavers, which are a
delicacy here in Moldova), Vitally is hoping that these programs will
become self sustaining and will have no need for outside supporters.
