…unless I have the necessary $2,557.00 $533.50 pledged by July 1st. When I originally wrote this blog I had $2,557 left to raise but through God I had more than $2,000 added to my support account!! The past 5 months there are many ways I’ve been able to impact nations for Christ. It astounds me the ways that God can use all circumstances in our lives to minister to others around the world. The more time I spend in another context I see God in a new light. I am confident with each passing day that this is exactly where I am supposed to be. I know that God has called me to the full 11 months of the World Race. I can’t imagine not being able to do feeding ministry with children in Swaziland or partnering with the growing gypsy community in Romania with my team. But because the World Race seeks to be a blessing not a burden we are not allowed to complete the race without being fully funded. And that’s where you come in faithful supporter!
Before I left on the Race I remember reading the blogs of current racers asking help for support. I remember thinking that my financial support wouldn’t be able to help them, if I could only give $50 that that wouldn’t be enough. But I can now tell you that even $5 will help me get to my support goal. I’ve been reading the book Radical by Platt. It has really challenged the way that I think about giving. It says, “What if, like the widow in Luke 21 who gave all she had, we began to give what it hurt us to give. What if we gave like this, not just because of the critical need around us, but because this kind of giving is actually what the heart of Christ in us both demands and desires.” I share this because God is showing me that whatever you can give no matter how small God can multiply it for His kingdom. It’s also a beautiful illustration of the freedom that comes from giving freely. God has blessed us with abundance not for our own benefit but so that we may be the hands and feet of Christ. Sometimes that might mean going and sometimes that might mean giving. If you are not in a place where you are able to go, here is your chance to give.
So if you would like to support me and do not have the sufficient funds to do so today but are able to commit to supporting me before I come home please send me an email ([email protected]) letting me know.
Again, I appreciate all of your support, whether they are financial support or your prayers.
