God is amazing.
I have a cool little story to share… last Sunday my brother, one of my sisters and I were on our way to dad's house for Thanksgiving. I kind of sort of left my keys on the bathroom sink, LeAnne kind of sort of locked the door before I realized I didn't have my keys, and Cody kind of sort of didn't grab his house key. We were locked out of the house, couldn't go anywhere, and it was really cold. Our brilliant plan? Go through LeAnne's window… which we broke. Luckily, it was an easy fix (thanks again, Kevin!) and none of us kids were seriously injured by our momma. ๐
That's not the cool part.
The cool part is that, typically upon an event like this, us kids would narrowly escape death, some serious "momma drama" would unfold (not because of her but because she would invoke some discipline) and everyone would go to bed angry, stressed out, and hurt. But last Sunday, the issue of the window was really just the surface of some other issues, and LeAnne, mom, and I sat around the table, talked it out, and calmly resolved the window issue. It was a nice change of pace.
It's really neat to see God beginning to restore our family. Every family fights, every family has its dysfunctions, but after a rough couple of years, to finally see us let God into our family and to see His hand begin to work within our family is very refreshing. That's the God we serve.
Have a wonderful day and enjoy the snow! ๐
