It is my desire to know Christ, to love Christ, and to constantly adjust myself so that I can go deeper and deeper with Him.  I want to seek Him with all that I am, I want to become less so that He can become more, and I want to see His face.  I want to feel His heart, know His ways, know His Word, and be a servant to Him.  I genuinely don't care about the cost to me personally; this life isn't about me anyway.  I am thankful for a Savior that loves me and gives me grace, but even more thankful for a mighty God that is greater than I will ever understand!  To Him be all honor and praise.

Now, about me personally… let's start with the basics!  ๐Ÿ™‚  My name is Alicia Renee Britton and I was born on Wednesday, January the third at 10:13 a.m. in Muskegon, MI.  I am twenty years old, and my social security number is 369… just kidding.  ๐Ÿ™‚

My family consists of the following:

– My daddy, Gerald (this picture is from the good ole days of 2003!)

P.S. My shirt, if you didn't notice, is a very important attribute to this photo.  ๐Ÿ˜‰

– My mommy, Kim (here we are in our prime!)

– My lovely sister, LeAnne, 17, and the triplets, Cody, Kaylee, and Rachel, all 15… here we are at Lake Michigan (at the time, we lived in Tennessee so seeing the lake was a big deal!)

I grew up in Muskegon, moved to Soddy Daisy, Tennessee when I was in the third grade, and moved back to Muskegon at age fourteen.  Tennessee is beautiful, but it doesn't have the lake!  ๐Ÿ™‚

I am a member of Life Change Church and I think it's absolutely phenomenal!  God has blessed His church family and to think of the "life change" that I've seen in myself in just four short years shows God's power!  I am so glad that my God is alive and doing mighty things in our world!

My missions experience includes a trip to Guatemala in the summer of 2008 where I received a calling to ministry, among a few other things.  ๐Ÿ™‚  Here's our team and a few other pictures from that trip…

I love my '92 Buick Regal!  I also enjoy the beach… like, a lot.  No really, a lot.  ๐Ÿ™‚  Coffee with Vanilla Caramel creamer is pretty good, too.  I really enjoy reading and sometimes, when I get sick of sleeping on one end of my bed, I'll move my pillow to the other side and switch for a bit.  Changes up the pace, you know?

In addition, for some assistance with writing this "about me" thing, I asked some people who know me pretty well for a little assistance and these were their (sometimes cheesy) responses:

"Alicia and I tend to like McDonald's mocha frappes and driving to the bank and talking for unnecessary amounts of time… actually, we take unnecessary amounts of time to do EVERYTHING!"

"Alicia Renee Britton has one of the biggest and best hearts you'll find.  I've known her since middle school; we've both changed and grown up in countless ways, but her caring heart and genuine interest in other people hasn't.  Anyone that has Alicia in their life is truly blessed.  Even though she isn't as big a part of my life as she used to be, I can truly say she is one of the greatest people I know, and I'm so proud of the woman she's become."

"What does Alicia mean to me?
Adorable and fun-loving
Loyal friend
Inspiring to all
Compassionate
Integrity
Always a joy to be around!"

"Hmmm you're a very caring person, very very unselfish, un-materialistic, when you put your mind to something, no one can change it (YOU'RE STUBBORN! haha)… you obviously don't mind change which will be nice for your adventure, and you have a huge heart for the Lord!"

"I would have to say you are a very passionate and articulate person who enjoys genuinely learning from people no matter who they are or what they have to offer.  Oh, and you're a protector of innocence; I've never seen anyone else take it out on a window like that before!"

"I've worked with Alicia for about three years now and I've known her to be an incredibly passionate person.  She is very people-oriented and enjoys sharing the love of God with others.  I know she is also committed to growing in her relationship with God and living her life for Him.  She'll also make you laugh about the stupidest things.  I've enjoyed working with her and I'm excited to see what more God is going to do through her life."

"Umm you're beautiful!  You're probably thinking umm… awkward haha but let me explain!  ๐Ÿ™‚  You're heart is so amazing and your desire to know God and to do the things of God is awesome!  Beauty to me is not all tied up in just looks, but also in the heart of a person.  When I see you, I see a person with a heart for God's people.  A heart that breaks just as God's does when someone is hurting.  You feel God's heart; when He hurts, you hurt.  When He is joyous, you are joyful!  Especially when it comes to people!  You are super duper excited and your heart connects with God's in excitement when people come to know Christ or when you get an opportunity to minister to someone, or when someone is healed or freed from a situation in their life that is holding them back from growing in God and in any other area in their lives that hinder them!  When someone is hurting, you feel and connect with God's hurt for them and you desire God to do a mighty work in them!  Haha… it's a lot but its you!  :)"

"I have had the opportunity to work very closely with Alicia… she has such a heart for God and a heart for seeing young people come to know Him in a deeper and more intimate way.  I can't wait to hear the lives that she changes while she is on this trip."

Well, that's the scoop!  ๐Ÿ™‚  Feel free to leave a fun fact or two in the comments so that my teammates can get to know me better!  ๐Ÿ™‚
