Yesterday we went to the cold streets of London for ministry. We set up a table with books and bibles to give away, and offered to speak with people about Jesus. Earlier this month, this was difficult for me and it was, a lot of work! In fact our whole squad really struggled with going out into a first world country so blatently.Going up to complete starngers on the street is scary and reminded me of Mormons or Jehovah’s Whitnesses. I realize though that God can use anything we do for Him, for His glory (especially when it is hard for US). He wants very much for every person to know him in a personal way. And when we believers go out to share that with people, you better believe He uses it! Maybe not leading people to salvation every day, but planting seeds in their hearts.
This month I have felt very led to go out with the expectation to show someone love, brighten their day, and let God use me however He wants. It has gotten better and better. My God is big and faithful!
Before departing for ministry yesterday, I was praying and I asked God to open doors so I could have conversations with people, and love them with His love. And guess what? He did, ofcourse!
Below are the first names of some people I connected with yesterday. They all have a story and I was blessed to hear a small part of it, just by asking. I encourage you all to do the same. But for now, where ever you are sitting, pick one name from below and pray, as you are lead for them. I challenge you to pray for 5 minutes.
