Hello Everyone!! My name is Alison Claire Page. I cannot wait to meet you all and let God completley rock my world this next year.
Where I live now:
Crested Butte, Colorado. It is a small mountain town known for the extreme skiing, quirky people, mountian biking, and the wildflowers. CB is 30 min from where I graduated Western State with a degree in Recreation with an emphasis in Outdoor Leadership. The past 4 years I could ski 5 times a week, ice climb, rock climb, back pack, and mountain bike to my hearts content….and usually for class credit!
What I do now:
I have turned in my hiking boots for high heels. Since graduating in May, I have been working in Real Estate. Obviously a big change from college!! It’s not so bad…I still get to ski a couple times a week. I am also a dog and cat sitter. Not a day goes by that I am thankful for where I am at and what God is teaching me…..but not a day goes by that I don’t think, “God, there has GOT TO BE MORE THAN THIS!”
Why The World Race?
I was able to visit Tanzania for a few weeks the summer of 2006 to spend time with AIDS orphans. When it was time to leave, I was devastated. I miss the people, the poverty, the culture. I yearn for more. I want to be a part of it! So…..WR here I come!
Since childhood, I have known I want to help people by giving my time and share Jesus with them. As I started to see poverty through really short mission trips growing up, I knew God was calling me to experiance more and more of it!
