Swaziland is a country infested with HIV, starvation, oppression, desolation, and poverty. It is the saddest country I have visited. There is no end to the struggle and strife this country endures. But God has risen up a mighty man to bring His light, to bring His kingdom, to breathe the life of our living God everywhere he goes. His name is Pastor Gift and Adventures In Missions gave him the job description “to make Nsoko work.” There is no coincidence this mans’ name is Gift. Because he has so very many and that is what he is to this place. This man shows joy in every circumstance and to every person. This ONE man, this ONE pastor takes on anything in his vacinity with the boldness and love of Christ.

Snapshots with Pastor Gift the past week:
Working with a very sick HIV positive woman that could die any second. Gift took us
to her bedside to pray with her and he personally takes her to the hospital for treatment and checks in on her often, counseling her and her family as they face death.

He is coaching a soccer team in order to raise up and disciple a group of men that otherwise have no guidance. After a game Natalie, me and the whole soccer team loaded in his rickety van. It began to pour rain and the accelerator went out. Gift was under the van in a storm trying to fix the problem…with a smile on his face, praising God…with sincerity. And praise God, we got home safely.

He commits to fathering a group of 10 teenage girls whose fathers have died. He set up a day for my team to take these girls to a pool and treat them to pizza, something no one has ever done for them before. He has arranged for a strong women’s leader in the church to be their spiritual mother.

Pouring into and serving 5 American girls who miss their fathers. He really listens when I talk to him, counsels with fatherly advice, and prophecies with God’s wisdom. He even gave us new names, in Seswati! Mine is Ncobile which means Overcomer or Conquerer.

During church he called a woman to the front and prayed for her feet to be healed, and she started walking and kicking and jumping, excitedly with no pain. He often feels literal pain in his body and asks the Lord who around him has this pain. Then he prays for them and they are healed! I have never met someone who is more annointed and in-tune to the Holy Spirit.

Gift knows no end to servant hood. But he dares not take one step without the Lord and great humility. I am blessed to know him and be working by his side.

Pray for abundant blessing on this man, his family, his ministries, his life. I thank God for the way he has touched my life and the others that are far too many to be counted.
