Where do you stop questioning?

I know, you’re probably sitting there thinking that I made a mistake. That should say “When do you stop questioning?” but you would be wrong.

I ask where do you stop questioning because there is a place in all of our lives that we stop questioning if this is us here or if it is God through us here. A place where you don’t question if the decision, the lesson, the plan, the people are right. You simply know.

For me it’s teaching the children at my church.

I’m going to talk about my children’s church ministry tons throughout this process, because I know that God is speaking through me when I’m teaching those kids.

I have no formal teaching degree, certification, or training. I don’t often make long drawn out lesson plans. Often I pick a topic and that’s what I teach for about a month, and most of the time the plans come off google.

But I don’t just pick something. I may scroll for an hour through 5 or 6 different topic searches or websites. And when I finally land on something, it has to feel right.

I know that that feeling is God guiding me towards what He wants me to teach.

That is where I stop questioning.

As humans we question everything in our lives, it’s part of the free will that God gave us. But as Christians we are supposed to trust that everything is part of Gods plan for our lives.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

-Jeremiah 29:11

So my question again, where do you stop questioning?

Do you have a place in your life where you stop questioning things? Would you recognize it if you did?

What can you do to find that place in your life?

If any of you lack wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

– James 1:5-6
