Hey everyone, sorry it’s been so long since my last post. The past few weeks have been packed like jam packed. First, we had debrief than we were living in the mountains at a summer camp and then suddenly when we get back we get a new schedule. So, life has been pretty crazy but, the Lord has provided, and I have enjoyed the adventure. And now that it’s been so long since I have posted this blog is here to catch everyone up.
Debrief, man what an amazing week. It was full of getting closer with one another, closer to God, and full of so much fun to do. So debriefs main function was to get rested. HAHAHAHAHAHA! Ha. How can you get rest when there’s a pool, great food, new people, a new place, oh and the ocean a 15 second walking distance away. Before I go into more details I just want to let you all know that being in Jaco (where debrief was) was such a blast almost the whole squad is planning to go back after the race. So Jaco the town itself is pretty much just one long road. However on this road is really anything you could ever want restaurants, stories, surf shops, and so much more. So as you could imagine just walking around was fun. The next thing is the ocean. Guess what we did the first thing when we got there. Guess. That’s right we all hopped right into the ocean and just swam around in for I don’t know how long maybe hours. But, something we did notice was how nice the waves where in Jaco. So what do you do when you have sick waves? Well you shred them brah. I got the chance to take 2 surfing lessons I was able to learn to read the ocean, get up on the board, control the board, and how to shred! Not to brag or anything but, I’m practically a professional now. Just saying. And of course there was time for chilling by the pool sipping smoothies and just enjoying community. Also we had some amazing sessions and even with all this going on I felt myself growing closer and stronger in the spirit. Something that happened that was completely from God was we gat to meet a guy named Jack there. And at the summer camp a coo dude named Christian. Now the cool God thing isn’t that I get to meet and become friends with 2 awesome guy’s it’s the fact that they will both be in Thailand the same time we will. Not only that the same city for the whole time we will be there. Coincidence I think not. Now our time at the summer camp.
Okay first things first the food, it was amazing. So good and we actually got to have seconds. Next it was my pleasure to be able to spread Jesus with the people there. I truly hope I will be able to serve with them again. Something I found out about Costa that week, all the bugs live in the mountains. I mean all of them I have never had so many bug bites and some of them bled. Not form scratching them or anything some of the bugs where just that nasty. The work we did for most of the week was actually pretty fun. Everyday except Saturday and Sunday we got to hike even farther up the mountain on this beautiful trail and built a road. The road was for a separate part of the camp they are building where campers will live without electricity and just dive into discipleship. I’m so glad I was able to be apart of just a little piece of that project. Now on Saturday and Sunday a school arrived and we got to work with kids for the ages of 12 to 13. It was so much fun we got to go swimming, rock climb, roller skate, and a mud obstacle course.
And that right there has been the last couple weeks. It was just jam packed of fun, adventures, and Jesus. I will make sure that my next blog doesn’t take so long. Hope you enjoyed.
