Hi everyone!
So the last two weeks have been filled with ministry, to both the people of Lake Charles, Louisiana and to our fellow volunteers.
Some of the volunteers there have been in Lake Charles for 8 weeks now and with COVID, their numbers for helpers have been pretty low. Then my team showed up, and you would not believe how grateful the volunteers were that we did. We were “a breath of fresh air” as they called it. The 30 of us just about doubled their numbers, and us as young people really encouraged them that the young church does in fact care to spread Jesus in whatever way we can.
In our two weeks there we completed 97 work orders, and behind every one of those was a homeowner who needed help both physically and spiritually. Samaritan’s Purse was very clear that we were there equally for the home and the homeowner. There was almost always a member of our team talking to the homeowner. I could physically see the stress and burden lifted off of them from when we started to when we ended. And because we spoke with them and had chaplains follow up on every house we saw no less than 10 people accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior!
Thank you all for your continued prayer and support.
