I am first going to give a description of Helida. She is the most welcoming person I have ever met. She takes my broken Spanish and laughs with me. She is the definition of what a good friend is. She reminds me of home because when I talk to her I feel as if I am exactly where I need to be. With all that being said, the question I asked her is:

What is the most important aspect of being a Mother?

“A mom is being patient with your kids and cleaning. I like being a Mom because of my kids. I am way different than my own Mom. My parents didn’t have time or pay attention to me when I was younger because they had to work and then I had work after school so we did not have a relationship.  You learn from the mistakes of your own parents. Whatever you didn’t like from your childhood you can change with your own kids. Before kids I didn’t care about anything. I used to do whatever I wanted. Now if I even want to go outside I have to bring my kids with me. That is what I value most, spending time with my kids.”
