Martie is the newest member of my team. He is small, handsome, and thoroughly enjoys happy, upbeat music. He is currently in a very serious relationship with our other teammate, Stella. She is quite a bit taller than him, but that’s kind of her style.
Martie’s complexion is very smooth, and he has very round features and quite a long neck. His voice is high (even higher than Stella’s), but he can really hit those falsettos.
Martie was born in China, but adopted in Pretoria, South Africa where he will be joining our team for the last three months of the world race. He has already been through a 10 hour boarder crossing and quite a long travel day. We all think he will be very successful in this type of environment, as long as he remembers to get off the bus in new countries. Martie and I are developing a good friendship, as we both enjoy playing. We like to sing together in small apartments and small gatherings, sometimes with Stella and sometimes without.
Martie and Stella got to preform a few songs at a girls center in Zimbabwe this week, and they had lots of fun together. The kids really loved them and can’t wait to hangout again this coming up week. It was a really great ministry opportunity for the couple.
Martie is excited to visit Stella in America, somewhere Martie has always wanted to go. He will get a glimpse in New York City on our way to Haiti, but then will reside in Mississippi after his travels. He is not excited about the long distance relationship with Stella, as she will reside in Minnesota. Martie knows he is ill-suited for the Minnesotan winters, as he is always wearing Hawaiian flowers.
