The past 10 days have been anything and everything for me. A few days in Atlanta, at launch, to learn more things about the race and to build each other up. We left Georgia at 2 am on Monday and pulled up to our host in Novi Sad, Serbia Tuesday around 10:30 pm. Just three plane flights, a bus, and lots of naps in airports.

Our ministry this month is still kind of just going wherever our host needs us. The past two and a half days we’ve been hanging around at kids camp for about 40 kids middle to high school age. The days are super long, like fourteen hours long. The kids are incredible. They rush to you just to translate for you and ask you questions. We play soccer, field hockey, and carpet ball for hours and hours. I only come out with a few battle wounds from soccer and field hockey every day.

At night time, they learn all about Jesus and prayer and the Holy Spirit. We sit around the campfire every night and the staff tell the kids stories about their life. They tell them about how powerful the cross is and how to have a two-way relationship with the Lord. We’ve gotten to talk with them through hard, soul searching questions and pray with a lot of them.  I’ve gotten to share with them the reason I choose Jesus over everything around that campfire, and so have some of my other teammates!

Tonight, was the last night of kids camp, and I laid on the (multi use) tennis court with some of my teammates and some of the kids. I really started to take in that I have relationships with Serbian kids I have known for three days, and that some of the conversations had will be pivotal in their lives. It kind of feels like a dream that something this sweet is real life to me.

Xoxo from the sanctuary balcony of our home this month,
