This month is a little different for our team. We get the privilege of moving around each week to different hosts on different parts of the east coast! This past week our days consisted of things like children’s ministry, cutting grass with a machete, and the usual song singing/testimony sharing in church.
Once again we we’re blessed way over anything we could’ve expected. We got to have dinner with SO MANY of the members and learn about the culture here. There is something so cool to me about sitting at a huge table asking what everything is and how to eat it and watching their reaction to your reaction of trying something crazy. I think we’ve had chicken, fish, pork, calamari, and tofu about 749292027 different ways.
I’m the midst of all the traveling and different ministries and different people there’s always a common theme of selfless hospitality here. Everyone we’ve met settles for nothing less than the best for you. It’s taught me a lot about inviting people in and giving the people I’m surrounded by everything I’ve got. All my energy, attention, resources, everything. Their hospitality reminds me to constantly give myself away.
I was more nervous for this month than any others for a few reasons – but the Lord has truly showed me a month of blessings and it has been far better than anything I could’ve expected!
