Here are some things I have to remind myself of pretty often. I thought I would share about these truths that hype me up or bring me a ton of comfort.

We spent a good bit of time reflecting today, and I found these written in my journal from two weeks ago.

  1. God doesn’t break promises – big or small. He doesn’t ever lose. So neither do you right?
  2. There is no sin, short coming, mess up, action, or thought so big the cross can’t cover it.
  3. The reason for grace in this world is Jesus. (Romans 5:2)
  4. You do not contain the power to mess up the Lord’s plan. He’s a lot bigger and smarter than you.
  5. His love literally doesn’t understand/know/operate with boundaries of time, location, human or limitations. It’s so far beyond any of it.
  6. You are a child of God. I am only beginning to grasp this. You have the same inheritance as Jesus. (Romans 8:14-17) The same inheritance as the one who essentially holds the patent on grace and mercy. The one who removed all our sin forever. Sin is the only thing that separates us from God. Jesus took all that away and we get the same inheritance as him.
  7. You are chosen. God chose you before the foundation of the world. (Ephesians 1:4) He created this universe. He created this planet, and he chose you before any of that. THINK ABOUT HOW BIG THAT IS. Seriously let that sink in!!!

We have traveled A LOT this month, and it’s easy to forget these things in my exhaustion. Just this past week we visited a home for elderly people, a home for orphans, we decorated a church for Christmas, handed out rice to people, spent a lot of time with families from the church, helped lead a church service, and were incredibly blessed by the members of that church. We had thanksgiving dinner at one of the member’s houses and she seriously spoiled us. She gave us presents and cooked SO many things. I think most of us were feeling so overwhelmingly blessed we couldn’t even talk.

In the midst of all this, I realized I’ve never spent a holiday away from my family. Then, I also realized I would not change anything about where I am right now. I’ve learned so much about the Lord’s provision this month. From being fully funded to the little treats given to us from hosts and local families, I have felt so blessed and so loved. Month four, thanks for growing me in a new continent with a new group of people. See ya soon Thailand!!

Xoxo,

Alexis
