TEAM EKKLESIA:
The church. Jesus’ hands and feet. Those willing to go out, to pursue boldly and to fight for what they believe in. Five women who honor each other, call each other higher and who genuinely love all who they come into contact with. Meet the team I get the honor and privilege to lead from Gap W! (My favorite thing is explaining people’s character through color! That is why I have their color listed.)
Anna Bearrs- Color: Sky Blue
Woman of gentleness. Anna is one of the most genuine people I’ve met. She really sees and really hears people. She leads others by example and has the heart of a servant, advocate and a bold friend. Her presence is warmth and light and she carries the Father’s peace wherever she goes. Real. Full of zeal and intentionality. Anna can be found running early in the morning, eating lychee, writing encouraging notes to our squad mates and just loving everyone she comes into contact with.
Sadie Reese- Color: Lavender
Woman of child like joy. Sadie is someone who fills the spaces she enters. She encourages, brings so much of the Father’s love and seeks people out. Her favorite phrase is, “ I want to be you when I grow up” and you can hear her saying this to most of the squad on a daily basis. She sees the best in people and her genuine kindness draws others to her. She can be found wearing as many colors as possible (especially pink), playing with all of the kiddos in our village, and cozied up in her blanket reading a good book.
Ellie Miller- Color: Sunset orange
Woman of perspective. Ellie is so hungry for more of the Lord and seek His Wisdom and knowledge from the word. She asks the best questions, is the most intentional and supportive. She is also a ball of energy and light and quirkiness which makes it easy to want to get in her space. She loves her people so well and does everything with excellence and passion. You can find Ellie trying to keep me up past my bedtime of 9PM every night, eating cornflakes with honey, and singing and dancing her way through every day.
Bri Moore- Color: Royal purple
Woman of influence. Bri is someone who encourages those around her and seeks ways to see situations from a glass half-full mindset. She isn’t afraid to try new things and speak whatever is on her heart. She has a pure heart of gold and is full of the Fathers empathy- whether that’s connecting with her friends, locals or even the street dogs. She is a changer of atmospheres and protects those she loves. She can be found naming every dog we pass on the street, drinking afternoon cups of coffee and listening to her music full-blast.
Kaya Mullen-Color: Sunrise yellow.
Woman of life. Kaya seeks to understand and to see people and their points of view. She loves fiercely and laughs more than she talks. She is passionate, bold and genuinely wants to grow and receive more of the Father and her identity as His chosen and His daughter. A women of empathy and kindness and life. She seeks ways to know other deeply and to connect in intentional ways. She is learning and growing in boldness and gets the coolest prophetic words from the Father. You can find Kaya eating Chiky cookies, laughing endlessly and helping Sandra in the kitchen making Chapin (traditional Guatemala breakfast).
Thanks Father for entrusting these women to me in this season. That I get to encourage their hearts and to do daily life with them. As they seek after your heart Father I pray that you remain so close to them. That you give them grit and endurance to do the hard things that you push then into each and every day. They are oh, so worthy. So Beloved. So incredibly capable to handle all that you are putting before them in this season. Thanks Papa for your abundant kindness and constant perspective.
Love you all the most. -Lex
