9 days.
I honestly cannot even believe that in a little over a week I will be rejoining my squad, and leaving the country for 9 months; to finally begin the journey that I have been waiting for for almost a year.
With this next step comes huge levels of nerves, unknown, fear,etc… But, it also brings such joy, passion, happiness and excitement that this thing is finally happening. A verse that has been very near and dear to my heart since I began my journey with the race is 2 Timothy 1:7. “For the Lord has NOT given us a spirit of fear, but of POWER, and of LOVE and of a SOUND MIND.” and this is exactly true. God did not create human beings to be weak, timid and afraid.
He created us to be bold.
Courageous.
Fearless.
Strong.
Steadfast in His love.
When we are in Christ, we can do all things.
Even though part of me is afraid to step outside of my comfort zone and take this next step in faith, I am ready.
I am ready to answer the call. To push myself through the walls I have put up, to have God break down my reality and build it up piece by piece into the very form He created me to be. I am ready to leave and come back changed. To see and experience the loss and tragedy that those less fortunate experience every day.
