Hey friends!! The last couple of months since CGA have been incredibly restful and absolutely full of the Lord and His goodness. He has been holding me close; encouraging me to soak in these days with Him which has looked like a lot of afternoons spent at my favorite coffee shop with watercolors in hand or hiking my favorite mountain near our house. It’s been intimate and sweet and I am so thankful for this intentional time the Lord has spent with me.
A month ago in worship I couldn’t help but feel like something was about to change. I wasn’t sure what exactly it was about but I had a hunch. I didn’t feel ready for what the Lord was calling me into next.
“You may not feel ready- but you are capable.”
That was the Fathers reply. Patience and trust has been a huge theme this season so that’s what I tried to do. To choose to believe in the Lord and His promises and to trust that he ALWAYS has my best interest at hand. Then my Squad Mentor from The World Race approached me about a new opportunity and asked me to pray and consider it… it didn’t take a whole lot of convincing. When I brought it to the Father He said, “Why not do this? You’re ready. You’re capable. You have all of the tools you need. I will always provide for you”. Very soon after that the Lord and I began to dream about this new opportunity and I am so glad I get to share it with all of you.
This September I will be Alumni Team Leading for the World Race Gap Year. That means that I will be going on the field again this September for the first three months of my Squad’s World Race. This position wasn’t created until after my race and I am so glad that the Adventures staff decided to add it. Alumni TL’s get the opportunity to walk alongside the racers and encourage them in everyday ministry and life and to help activate them in their gifts and callings. We will be helping with host communication, some logistics, leading daily team-times and discipleship. I feel like so much of what I learned during the Center For Global Action has helped to prepare me for this and I am excited to see how the Lord uses me in this space. What a cool opportunity? Getting to advocate and challenge and encourage and love. Dang I’m Psyched. In order to step into this position I need to raise $3000- would you prayerfully consider joining my team in helping to activate more missionaries? (Here’s the breakdown- if 15 people can commit to a $200 donation or 30 to $100, I’m at my goal!) If you have any question or would like to get in contact with me my email is: [email protected]. I would LOVE to talk to you about this new opportunity the Lord has placed on my heart.
To everyone already on my team- THANK YOU. Thank you for my sweet friends that have encouraged me throughout this application process. Thank you for your prayers and sweet texts/calls. Those mean more to me than I can express in mere words. The Lord reminds me everyday that I am seen and loved through you all. Thank you for my team back in Wisconsin- to those praying for me, sending me the KINDEST care packages, letters, prayers and financial donations. Y’all- you have helped raise $33,000 since 2014. WHAT. That isn’t possible without all of you!! So I wont stop saying thank you!! You shown the generosity and kindness of the Father over and over and blow me away. Thank you for doing this thing with me, step by step.
