Last Sunday I participated in something I have been working hard for for the past 4 years, I graduated High School! I walked down the aisle with my 10 classmates, and received my diploma. It really is surreal to think about, and makes me all the more excited for this next chapter of my life-THE WORLD RACE.

In a little less than a month I will be at training camp, and I cannot tell you all how excited I am to learn more about my race and also meet my squad and team! (shout out to my Squad L fam)

Something that God has been teaching me lately is about the importance of finding my satisfaction in him, something I don’t do as often as I should. I know that because I find that it is incredibly easy for me to get into a mood. Sometimes the littlest things-someone giving me an odd look, an argument, a little comment, or there are no more bagels in our house, etc- can turn my attitude from happy and cheerful, to depressed and crabby. And honestly, when I think about how these little things can affect me so negatively and potentially ruin my day, that makes me upset. Because I know with each and every fiber of my being that the reason I am on this earth is to serve Christ and to be His hands and feet. I know that He is always present with me, that He loves me wayyyy more than any of my family or friends ever could, and that He sent His son to die the most brutal death in history- for me. No matter how many times I put him second, no matter how many times I make mistakes and reject Him, He still would have died for me.

If any of you also struggle with finding your joy and your satisfaction in Christ, I encourage you to evaluate what you prioritize in life. I realized that I tend to prioritize friends and technology, and sometimes they take precedence, when Jesus always should. So I am trying to get into the habit of starting my day right-with Christ at the center. Asking him to go with me throughout the day, and to help me find my joy in him.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

-Romans 15:13
