This is a list of things I have been adding to since month one! Some of these are super deep, and some are just for fun. Hope you enjoy.

-seatbelts are rarely used
-car/bus/train rides under 20 hours are considered a breeze.
-the littlest things can make your day, like seeing your favorite American candy at a gas station.
-language barrier sucks… especially when the language consists of an entirely different alphabet. But even though the language barrier is hard, that doesn’t mean you can’t make stellar friends.
-personal space is non- existent.
-God will wreck your life in more ways that you could ever imagine if you look for them.
-even if you don’t consider yourself a “touchy” person you will become one eventually.
-sharing is caring. And not-sharing really isn’t an option so….
– you gotta depend on Christ all the time, and coffee. (Even if its instant)
-you need to buy in early on in order to get results
-constant community is the hardest and best thing you will ever experience.
-sometimes the people you never expected to get along with become your closest friends
– hot showers are a blessing
-Mcdonalds is incredible
-Ukrainian roads are awful. (Update, Indian roads are worse)
-you don’t need a degree to teach ESL, I’ve been doing it for months now.
-check and make sure you don’t leave anything behind. And then check again! Because you probably did.
-life phrase: “it’s fine, I’m fine. Everything is fine.”
-pushing into the uncomfortable has incredible results.
-borderhop. Just do it.
– you will get attacked ( in love) by the children in Chilé. The hugs never stop coming.
-if given the opportunity to take a nap, take one.
-wanting to know all the details is hard. Details are rarely involved.
– looking nice is when you wear mascara and a clean shirt. That’s often as good as it gets..
– sometimes the Lord will speak to you through the smallest things. Like a key, a piece of glass or the misty mountain you see everyday.
-you have to rely on others sometimes… you can’t do everything yourself. Like when you have strep throat, altitude sickness and salmanila. Its okay to let others take care of you.
-‎ perserverance is built in the hard moments. The dry seasons of confusion, where all you have to hold onto is the knowledge of the Lord himself.
-‎yes is more than a word. It’s a bold declaration to pursue the task with your whole heart, no matter the cost.
-‎driving 2 hours in order to get Starbucks is definetly worth it.
-‎take every opportunity. To preach, evangelize, perform, play with street kids, etc. It will be worth it.
-‎100 mosquito bites on only your legs itch a whole heck of a lot.
-‎ear plugs. If you value sleep, bring them.
-‎working out on the race is hard, but it teaches disipline and persevering through hard things
-‎grace upon grace upon Grace upon Grace upon grace. For yourself, and for others.
-‎shame seems like it has so much power in the dark, but when you shed light on it all of its power falls away.
-‎be honest. Your emotions and feelings are valid and hold wieght.
-‎”whatever you do, if you do it to the fullest and pour yourself out, that is when it will be worth it.” -Elise Sappington
