[This blog was begun before I left on the World Race, but while unfinished, it still stands true and serves as a good reminder post-race.]
Sometimes, our earthly struggles consume us, we get caught up in our own trials and tribulations and forget that there are those in the world who have sacrificed, struggled, and endured hardship more difficult than anything we may have encountered thus far…
As I worry about my preparations for the World Race and being exhausted with work and the busyness of every day life, I remember that I am BLESSED. I am not orphaned. I am not a slave to human trafficking. I have a roof over my head, clothes for my body, and food to fill my belly, every day. I have a wonderful family and a beautiful thread of friends who continue to love, support, and encourage me in this life. For every ‘bad day’ that I have, there are millions of people around the world, young and old, who are struggling just to survive from day to day. And I have the foundation of our Father above behind, before, and ahead of me. I am passionate about serving people around the world, who have less than I, who struggle in ways that I have never had to. I am excited to share the good news of Christ so that they may know His unconditional love and mercy, and to also live as one who is BLESSED.
I AM TO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!
