Pastors for the Kingdom Ministry Schedule
This month we have three teams located in Palacaguina, Nicaragua. Each team is working with the same ministry network (Pastors for the Kingdom, 516NOW), but working with three different pastors and staying at their churches. Our team is doing ministry with Pastor David at Iglesia Pentecostal de Jesu Cristo, a Dios Se a La Gloria. It is a blessing to be here.
Our daily schedule looks something like this, and so far each day has provided different opportunities.
Sunday: We have church from 9:30am-12:00pm. We take turns teaching Sunday school, preaching, and leading worship songs.
Monday: This is our day off to rest, relax, and explore. So far, we’ve spent a day at a beautiful waterfall and a day trip to Leon to go ashboarding down a volcano.
Tuesday: In the mornings we do manual labor around/for the church, or we minister to people in the community, visiting them/building relationships, and praying for them. Then in the afternoon we feed the children in the community, (numbers vary, approximately 30-70 children) and we play with them. In the evening we have a church service – we’ve been taking turns sharing our testimonies with the congregation and playing/sing worship songs.
Wednesday: On this day, all three teams get together at a central location to work on a big construction project, ex: digging holes for laying the foundation of a church, working on construction for building a house for future mission groups, etc…
Thursday: In the mornings we do manual labor around/for the church, or we minister to people in the community, visiting them/building relationships, and praying for them. Then in the afternoon we feed the children in the community, (numbers vary, approximately 30-70 children) and we play with them. In the evening we have a church service – we’ve been taking turns sharing our testimonies with the congregation and playing/sing worship songs.
Friday/Saturday: These two days are more flexible…we might do manual labor, visit/help/pray for people in the community, go to another church for services, visit the local school to do work, visit the city’s nursing home, or a variety of other activities or ways to serve in the community.
