When I signed up for The World Race last October I never thought the day I had to say goodbye to everything and everyone I know and love would come, but it did and it wasn’t fun. Sunday was possibly one of the hardest days of my life and so much harder than I ever thought it would be! The reality that I won’t see my family and friends for 9 months is finally setting in and I would lying if I didn’t say it was hard!
However, on a much lighter and happier note though, after a 15 hour flight, I am currently sitting in the Qatar airport (which is absolutely beautiful) and I only have one more flight until I arrive in Thailand! Also, I am so happy to finally announce that my team and I will spend three months doing farm ministry as well as a few other things such as teaching English and church planting in a province called Kanchanaburi, just two hours West of Bangkok. I don’t have much information yet on where my team and I will be staying, however I do know that it is a pretty rural place and I won’t have Wi-Fi at the drop of a hat, so if you would like to stay in touch or send me encouraging messages, please feel free to email me ([email protected]) and I will check it as much as I can.
Last but not least, thank you! Thank you to every single person who donated money, time, or encouragement to me when I was preparing for this trip! I AM NOW FULLY FUNDED and I couldn’t have done it without all the amazing people God put in my life! Raising $12,500 + money to buy all of my equipment that I needed and spending money I was able to take with me was no easy task, but God showed up in a big way (like He always does).
This is actually happening and it scares me so much, but I know that God is going to show up in big, unimaginable ways and I am so thankful that He has called me to be a part of it!
Like always, please please please continue to pray for my team and I!
