Let me first give you some background on today… I have a terrible cold, I feel weak, and I am in between jobs… So discouragement was at an all-time high today! The enemy knows when we are at our weakest and he attempts to use it to his advantage, which is why it is so important to recognize when he is at work. All praise to God though, He rescued me yet again! #Pops
So, I sat at my desk writing out two lists. One list was titled “Plan A”, while the second list was titled “Plan B”.
Plan A
-LSAT Program
-Internship at Attorney General Office
-School
-The World Race
Plan B
-Find a new Job
-LSAT Program
-Internship at Attorney General Office
-New Apartment
-New Car
-Graduation
At first glance, Plan B is obviously the best choice. Plan B is the convenient comfortable choice with little to no risks.
On the other hand…
Plan A is the world race. No physical comfort, plenty of risks, and it is smack dab in the middle of the unknown.
My flesh cries out for me to choose Plan B, but in that moment I remember that my flesh was crucified and it is now Christ Jesus that lives within me (Galatians 5:24).
I am His hands and feet. I am Isaiah saying, “Here I am! Send Me!” (Isaiah 6:8)
Plan B will afford me the seemingly comforting amenities the world has to offer, while Plan A will catapult me into my divine purpose here on earth.
I will admit that at times, I try and think of 1 million and one ways to back out of the world race, but like a lady told me years ago, “It is not about me, but the many people I will impact”… I am a living sacrifice to the Lord..Besides Plan B will never fully achieve what God intended Plan A to achieve… It may seem like it, but unless you are in the will of God for your life, you will be forfeiting what God has for you.
I imagine God saying, “ Whom shall I send, and Who will go for us?.
And in response to that simple yet life-changing question,
My July 2015 Route 3 squad drops everything and we answer in unison..
“Here we are! Send us!”
The ladies on my squad are women of Faith.. Many are leaving behind jobs, families, relationships, and life-long desires to answer the call. That is so amazing to me. I sit here honored that God would choose me to do life with these ladies for 11months!
So, today and forevermore God I will choose Plan A. I will stop trying to create my own plan when I am in the thick of things. I am deciding to trust you whole-heartedly….
Just think… It started with a cold and at the end of my dance with the devil, he had just about talked me into forfeiting Plan A, my Kingdom calling .We have power through the Holy Spirit to demolish all things opposed to the knowledge of God! We mustn’t entertain the enemy in any way shape or form! The bible says:
“Our weapons that we fight with aren’t human, but instead they are powered by God for the destruction of fortresses. They destroy arguments, and every defense that is raised up to oppose the knowledge of God. They capture every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)”
